'City of god'

This film is happened in Brazil. We can see at the beginning the preparation to kill and cook the chicken (food is important) and they are prepared a mojito who is a special cocktail from Latina America country, who characterise the culture in this country and people dancing and enjoying with a Latina America music (percussion) as diegetic sound who represent the culture as well.
The action is located in the brazilian favelas who is a poor area in Brazil.
The costume are a representation of this poor area and this hot and sunny weather where the action happen.
The Brazil is an ex Portugal colonisation, so they speak in Portuguese.
This opening scene represent how the people are, everything turn around this escape chicken. The reaction about it, is exaggerate for the situation, that proves how the food is important and how people react in this situation. When we saw all this young person with the guns running after a chicken, right away shows how much this country is violent and dangerous, because running after a chicken with gun is just totally crazy.
